This is the Bear character from my animated film, ‘Papoose and Bear.’
At the top is the model sheet, in the middle are the painted sculpey forms, and at the bottom is the final bear character created in photoshop using the sculpey forms.
This is one of the main landscape backgrounds for my animated film, ‘Papoose and Bear.’ Created with a combination of acrylic, sculpey and photoshop.
‘Papoose and Bear’ was originally created as the requirement for the class ‘181C – Animation Workshop,’ at UCLA. I am currently in the process of re-coloring the film.
Sketchbook drawing with photoshop colour. The original sketch was of a pen and ink line drawing of a vintage car in Berlin, drawn during our 2006 trip.
Inspired by Stephane Kardos’ car drawings.
‘Super,’ pen and ink and photoshop. Another personal poster project for the band, Super Furry Animals.
This started off as a pen and ink drawing. However, I wasn’t at all happy with the original drawing so I coloured the pen and ink image in Photoshop. As soon as I started the drawing I knew it wasn’t going to turn out well…so of course it didn’t.
Here’s the original pen and ink drawing.

I’ve activated Gravatar support for CHOBLE.
The Gravatar plugin was supported with the Blix theme so all the hard work was already done for me, though I did change the default settings.
Basically, Gravatar allows you to upload an image or avatar to gravatar.com and then associate an email address with the uploaded image. Then, when you supply your email address in the comment form on someone’s blog, the Gravatar plugin automatically retrieves your avatar and you see a gravatar.
If you’d like to see a gravatar next to your comments on CHOBLE, simply visit www.gravatar.com and upload an 80 x 80 pixel image. Once your gravatar (it takes about a day) has been rated, your gravatar will be displayed next to all of your comments.
Here’s my gravatar image that I created in Illustrator and Photoshop. It’s a combination of a vector image overlaid on top of a painting that I posted in Welcome to the New CHOBLE.
Go make a gravatar!
I’ve been itching to make a poster so I decided to make one for a band I like called Bloc Party. The poster references the song ‘So Here We Are’ off the album Silent Alarm. I created all the line work in Freehand and Illustrator and then coloured the design in Photoshop.
To find out more about Bloc Party you can check out their official website at www.blocparty.com.
Two unblinking Diggles, at night.
I wanted to keep this Friday’s image as simple as possible (so that I could get it done in time) and I also wanted to do a bold black and white image. The Diggle is a design from my sketchbook which I redrew in Illustrator with the pen tool and then assembled the piece in Photoshop.
